Description

On May 14, 2012, a Confucius Institute was established at the Hassan II University of Casablanca (French: Université Hassan II de Casablanca & Arabic: جامعة الحسن الثاني بالدارالبیضاء) in partnership with the Shanghai International Studies University (see Confucius Institute at Hassan II University). On January 18, 2013, the Confucius Institute held its opening ceremony. Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, Xu Jinghu, Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Abdelhafid Debbarh, President of Hassan II University of Casablanca, Jaafar Khalid Naciri, and President of Shanghai International Studies University, Cao Deming, delivered speeches and jointly unveiled the Confucius Institute (see 驻摩洛哥大使许镜湖出席卡萨布兰卡哈桑二世大学孔子学院揭牌仪式).
