Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On July 30, 2013, the Chinese Government and the Cambodia National Police under the Ministry of Interior signed a memoradum of understanding (MOU) in which China pledged to donate 1,000 handguns, 50,000 bullets, and other unspecified equipment to the Cambodia side. The monetary value of this donation is unknown and it is unclear whether the goods were ever delivered. This signing ceremony occured during a period of political unrest related to elections.
