The Chinese Government provided a grant to the Government of Tunisia for the 2009 Aquaculture Project (see 'Année remarquable de la coopération sino-tunisienne'). The Chinese Government donated aquaculture equipment to Tunisia, dispatched Chinese aquaculture experts to the country, conducted on-site technical training, and invited officials and technicians from Tunisia's Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources to China for inspections and training, in order to bring freshwater water fish farming technology to Tunisia. The project was also intended to help protect Tunisian reservoirs, canals, and the environment at large (see '中国援突尼斯水产养殖项目交接证书在突尼斯签署').In early January 2009, a team of 2 Chinese experts from the freshwater aquaculture technical team arrived in Tunisia and began their 8-month technical service and training stint in Tunisia. Additionally, all materials from the Chinese Government were delivered to the project site (see '援突尼斯水产养殖项目进展顺利'). On December 21, 2009, the Chinese Government signed a handover certificate with the Government of Tunisia for the completion of the project (see '中国援突尼斯水产养殖项目交接证书在突尼斯签署').
The Chinese project title is 中国援助突尼斯水产养殖项目.'Year uncertain' box was checked because it is not confirmed that the grant for this project was signed in 2009, only that the project began and ended in that year.
