In May 2009, China donated 20 million yuan (2.93 million US dollars) worth of tents to Sri Lanka. The tents will be sent to Sri Lanka in four batches and is part of China's humanitarian for around 200,000 Tamil civilians displaced by the conflict between the government and the LTTE.
