Description

On 4 May 2012, the Chinese government signed a 1 million CNY grant agreement with Sri Lanka for the provision of sporting goods for the youth in Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu (see Sri Lanka Department of External Resources 2012 Annual Performance Report). The sports equipment was delivered to Colombo in December 2012, and on 18 January 2013 Ambassador Wu Jianghao and the Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Peiris signed a handover certificate (see January 2013 article from China's Ministry of Commerce).
