Description

In 2010, China signed a transfer certificate with Sri Lanka regarding the donation of heavy machinery and equipment. China donated 34 heavy machinery and equipment worth over 285.4 million Sri Lanka Rupees for infrastructure development in north and east Sri Lanka. A part of the alleged "machinery" included motorcycles as seen in the Economist, captured in 2010. The equipment will be used for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of war-torn areas.
