Description

On May 21, 2005, at the Bangladesh-China Joint Economic Commission (BCJEC) China pledged to grant 10 million RMB to improve the textile-and-garment sector in Bangladesh. This would be done via the transfer of technology and training with 30 Bangladeshi managers and technicians from the textile and fabrics sectors attending a 30-day training course in Beijing, 15 of whom were to be from the government and 15 from the private sector. The Bangladeshis are being sent under a previously signed financial and technical assistance agreement signed on April 7.
