Project narrative

In April 2005, China pledged 300 million yuan grant to Bangladesh, to build the North Dhaka (East) Sewage Treatment Plant (达卡北部污水处理厂) and associated sewerage system. The plant was expected to cost $95 million. A Chinese government press release in 2005 stated that the Chinese government will actively consider providing funds for the project.
