Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 24, 2006, the Chinese Government signed an exchange of letters providing an RMB 50 million interest-free loan to the Government of Bangladesh (as captured via Record ID#34024). There is no evidence that this loan was ever drawn down. Then, between July 28, 2009 and July 29, 2009 during the 12th Joint Commission (JC) between Bangladesh and China in Beijing, the Chinese Government agreed to extend the term of the unutilized RMB 50 million RMB interest-free loan by five years. The loan's original maturity is unknown.
