On 21 September 2009, the Chinese and Sudanese Governments signed letters of exchange to an anti-malaria center at the Ad-Damazin Friendship Hospital.establish the malaria center. The Chinese Government provided a grant of an unknown value for this project. The official opening ceremony for the center was held on 20 October 2009. All other project details are unknown.
