Project narrative

On December 8, 2005, Secretary General of the Tibet Autonomous Region Zhou Chunlai and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Hira Bahadur Thapa signed a letter of intent to provide a donation of NPR 18 million (more than USD 250,000) in assistance for Nepal. The aid was to be used for a variety of purposes such as assisting Nepal’s northwestern Mustang district with teaching facilities, eastern Udayapur with ambulances, and supplying elderly homes and orphanages with daily necessities.
