Description

On December 8th, 2005, China's Tibet Autonomous Region agreed to provide 18 million Nepali rupees (257,000 USD) in assistance for Nepal. The aid will be used for schools, elder homes, orphanages, and ambulances among others. A letter of intent for the donation was signed by Secretary General of the Tibet Autonomous Region Zhou Chunlai and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Hira Bahadur Thapa.
