Project narrative

In 2013, the Chinese Government and the Government of Nepal signed letters of exchange on the provision of logistical materials and office supplies to support the Constituent Assembly Election. The value of the donated materials was RMB 10 million (approximately NRS 154.1 million). On September 27, 2013, a plane with the election materials arrived in Kathmandu, including ballot papers and office materials. The handover ceremony of the materials took place on October 6, 2013. China's Ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, and Joint Secretary of Nepal's Election Commission, Maheshow Neupane, were present at the airport to receive the donation. These materials were be used for the conduction of the Nepal's 27th general elections on November 19, 2013.
