Project narrative

In 2004, the Chinese Government and the Government of Myanmar signed an RMB 80 million loan agreement for various projects (recorded in Record ID#85365). RMB 15 million of the loan proceeds were reportedly used to build a new generator plant in Sinde. Myanmar’s Ministry of Industry, which received the loan, purchased generator parts for this plant from China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation on November 22, 2004.
