Project narrative

In 2008, the Chinese Government and the Government of Mozambique signed a grant agreement for a Rural Primary School Construction Project. The value of this grant commitment is unknown. The project involved the construction of a rural primary school — with 5 classrooms, 3 offices for teachers, 2 bathrooms, a library, a commissary and pantry, and a guard room — within Massingir District and Gaza Province. China Gansu International Corporation for Economic and Technical Cooperation (CGICOP) was the contractor responsible for implementation. The project was officially completed and handed over to the authorities on August 18, 2010.
