Project narrative
In 2006, the Chinese Government and the Government of the Republic of Congo signed a framework agreement regarding the establishment of an anti-malaria center in Congo. Then, on December 26, 2007 and January 11, 2008, the Chinese Government and the Government of the Republic of Congo signed letters of exchange regarding the establishment of an anti-malaria center. On August 13, 2008, the center (known locally as ‘Centre Chine-Congo de Prevention et de Traitment du Paludisme’) was officially inaugurated at the Congolese National Institute for Public Health Laboratory. 4 Chinese experts were dispatched to the center to conduct training activities.
