On October 28, 2011, the Chinese Government and the Government of Botswana signed a protocol agreement, officially dispatching the 13th medical team to Botswana. The 13th medical team consisted of 46 members (including medical professionals and support staff) who were stationed at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in the city of Francistown and Princess Marina Hospital in the city of Gaborone. The team, which included anaesthetists, urologists, obstetricians, gynaecologists, acupuncturists, completed its term of service between March 4, 2012 and January 22, 2015.
