Description

On 24 October 2013, the Chinese Government and the Government of Angola signed a protocol agreement dispatching the third Chinese medical team to Angola. The team completed its term of service between 11 December 2013 and 2015. The 11-member team consisted of experts in acupuncture, orthopaedics, surgery, and pediatrics. It was stationed at Luanda General Hospital (Hospital Geral de Luanda) in the Kilamba Kiaxi municipality of Luanda. As of June 2014, the team had reportedly treated over 20,000 patients from surrounding area. Since 2009, Sichuan Province has been sending medical teams to Angola every 2 years.
