In February 2004, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Shumin handed over a US$10000 grant to the Indonesia Red Cross for earthquake victims in Nabire. The earthquake hit on February 6, 2004, and measured 6.9 on the Richter scale. This aid comes alongside a grant of US$40000 to the Indonesian government (#34945)..
