Description

China's Sun Wah Group signed a memorandum of understanding on August 23, 2010 to provide US$1 million to Vietnam’s medical, education and art projects. Of the total package, $300,000 will be spent on upgrading facilities for language teaching and teacher training. The remaining $700,000 will be used to improve local people’s access to better quality medical services, and support the training of health workers. Since 2007, the state-owned Chinese company has assisted Vietnam in various fields such as sponsoring source codes, helping Vietnam develop fundamental applications, granting scholarships, building schools, training teachers in remote areas, and providing assistance for disadvantaged children.
