Project narrative

China has donated US$50000 to assist the efforts of the government of Pakistan in preventing avian flu epidemic. Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy Song Deheng presented a cheque to Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific) Salman Bashir, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Feb 20, 2004. Pakistan detected its first bird flu case in the port city of Karachi in January 2004.
