Project narrative

China pledged a grant of US$400000 to the Pakistan Human Development Fund to establish a Chinese Learning Centre in Islamabad. The centre would be established by National Commission on Human Development (NCHD). NCHD Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf announced this on 2 April, 2005. Dr Nasim Ashraf was addressing a press conference with the United Front of Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Vice Minister Hu Deping, UNDP country representative Onder Yucer and UNDP resident representative Khalid Malik. The donation was made through China's Guangcai Programme.
