Description

In April 2005 Beijing pledged $40 million for the Lowari tunnel, an 8.75 km-long tunnel in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It will connect Dir and the Chitral Valley. The tunnel is still under construction, having been halted several times. As, of April 2015, the tunnel was being constructed, and its expected completion is October 2017.
