Project narrative

On October 18, 2003, the Chinese Government and the Government of Equatorial Guinea signed a protocol agreement, dispatching the 22nd Chinese medical team to Equatorial Guinea. The 21-member team was stationed at the Bata General Hospital in the city of Bata and Malabo Regional Hospital in the city of Malabo. 11 team members were stationed in Malabo and 10 in Bata. The team arrived in Equatorial Guinea in June 24, 2004 and competed its term of service in mid-2006. It was presented with various awards by the Equatorial Guinean government on July 6, 2006. Guangzhou Health Department has been sending medical teams to Equatorial Guinea since 1971.
