Project narrative

On September 12, 2014, China and Cambodia signed letters of exchange at a ceremony in Phnom Penh for a Chinese donation of 200 ambulances to the Cambodian Ministry of Health. The donation was made on January 15, 2015; the handover ceremony was held at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh in the presence of H.E. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, and H.E. Ms. Bu Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia. The ambulances are for the Ministry of Health to distribute to hospitals across Cambodia, especially in rural areas so as to improve the efficiency of transferring patients to hospitals and will play a key role in emergency situations.
