The 21-person team's mission is to work with Zanzibar medical staff at Zanzibar Naz Moga Hospital and Pemba Abdullah Mucai Hospital to carry out medial work, provide technical assistance, and exchange medical knowledge. Their mission began in June 2007 and ended on 18 June 2009. Under the agreement, Zanzibar was responsible for providing housing, travel expenses, and medical costs to the medical team.
