On December 22, 2009 China, represented by the Chinese Embassy to Pakistan, donated 800 books to the National Library of Pakistan (NLP). The books, covering a wide range of subjects on Chinese culture, arts, medicines, religions and other related topics, have been handed over to Mazharul Islam, Director General Department of Libraries, by Yang Linhai, Chinese Cultural Counsellor.
