Project narrative

On September 26, 2014, Wang Yingwu, Chinese Ambassador to DRC, and Dismas Swana Emina Monzia Magbengu, the Vice Minister of International and Regional Cooperation of the DRC, signed letters of exchange for the donation of prevention and treatment equipment to combat Ebola. Earlier on September 23, 2014, the Chinese Embassy announced that prevention and treatment equipment valued at 5 million RMB would be donated to DRC, and 3 medical experts would also be allocated to the DRC. The equipment reportedly included 17,000 protective suits, goggles, gloves, and body bags. The donated materials arrived in Kinshasa, and on October 29, 2014, the handover ceremony of the donated materials took place at Kinshasa's airport. This project is completed.
