Full Description

Project narrative

China has been sending medical teams to Burundi every two years since 1987. Qinghai Province has been responsible for sending the teams. On September 17. 2009, the Chinese Government and the Government of Burundi signed an agreement related to the dispatching of the 14th Chinese medical team to Burundi. The team included 29 members. It arrived in Burundi on May 27, 2010 and completed its term of service on May 26, 2012. The members of the 14th Chinese medical team were stationed at Prince Regent Charles Hospital, Gitega Provincial Hospital, and Muramvya Provincial Hospital.
