Full Description

Project narrative

China has been sending medical teams to Burundi every two years since 1987. Qinghai Province has been responsible for sending the teams. On March 28, 2006, the Chinese Government and the Government of Burundi signed an agreement on the dispatching of the 12th Chinese medical team to Burundi. The team included 29 members who were stationed at Muramvya Provincial Hospital. The team completed its term of service in Burundi from May 2006 to May 2008.
