Description

On June 27, 2014, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., the National Agency for Energy Management, andthe Office of Merchant Marine and Ports signed a contract for the implementation of the Port of Radès Solar Lighting Project, funded by a grant from the Chinese Government. The purpose of the project was to install LED solar photovoltaic lights at the Port of Radès. Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. was the contractor responsible for project implementation. Construction activities ended in June 2015 and the project completed technical assistance on September 10, 2015.

Additional details

The French project title is L'éclairage du port de Radès par l'énergie solaire or projet d’éclairage du port Rades. The Chinese project title is 我援突港口太阳能照明项目 or 拉戴斯港口太阳能照明等项. "Year uncertain" box was checked because while the implementation was agreed to in 2014, it is unclear when the Chinese Government committed to financing this project. China previously signed an agreement for the installation of solar power in 2012 (as captured by project ID#30328); this may represent the commitment date, but it is unclear whether this project fell under the purview of that agreement.
