Project narrative

On January 2, 2014, the Chinese Government and the Government of Cote d'Ivoire signed an RMB 5 million (CFA 450 million) grant agreement for the provision of supplies to combat the Ebola epidemic. On October 31, 2014, a shipment of supplies to combat the Ebola epidemic worth RMB 5 million arrived by special freight in Abidjan. The donation consisted of protective clothing, gas masks, disposable rubber gloves, shoe covers, goggles, sprayers, infrared thermometers, body temperature detectors, and body bags. An official handover ceremony was held on November 11, 2014. According to the Government of Côte d'Ivoire’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), the grant that supported this project was fully disbursed as of December 31, 2014.
