Project narrative

Since 1967, the Chinese Government has been dispatching medical teams to the Republic of Congo every two years. Tianjin City is responsible for sending the teams. On December 28, 2000, the Chinese Government and the Republic of Congo signed letters of exchange, dispatching the 16th Chinese medical team to the Republic of Congo [第16批援刚(布)医疗队]. The 26-member team was stationed at Makélékélé Reference Hospital (Hôpital de Makélékélé) and Talangaï Hospital (Hôpital De Talangaï) in the capital city of Brazzaville. It completed its term of service between December 15, 2000 and December 16, 2002.
