Project narrative

In 2010, Russia and China provided support to Colombia in light of intense rains that have left 303 dead and 2.2 million victims as a result of La Niña. The donation was announced on December 28, 2010 with the assurance that the donation would come the following day. On December 29, 2010 the both the Russian and Chinese donations were delivered. Russia provided 25 tonnes worth of humanitarian aid, and China donated $200,000 for emergency response efforts.
