Project narrative

In 2005, China and Guyana signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation worth USD $3.8 million. The agreement stipulated that China will provide equipment and raw materials to the Sanata Textile Mill. The agreement also included a feasibility study on the supply of new river ferries conducted by a Chinese survey team. This textile mill was originally a Chinese investment project that was later privatized (Record ID#56346).
