Project narrative

Starting in July 2010, heavy monsoon rains caused floods in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and, Balochistan regions of Pakistan. In response, on 30 September 2010, the Vice President of Dong Fang Electric Corporation (DEC), Wu Huanqi, officially handed over a 1 million RMB check to the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund. At the time, DEC was currently involved in three projects in Pakistan: (1) Jinnah hydro-power project at Jinnah barrage Mianwali, (2) Nandi Pur thermal power project, and (3) Allai Khwar Dam in Battagram district.
