Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On May 7, 2013, the Columbia’s University of Jorge Tadeo Lozano (UJTL) opened a Confucius institute in partnership with the University of Foreign Studies in Tianjin and the Chinese Embassy in Colombia. It will offer Chinese language classes and aims to bridge the cultural gap between the two countries to foster better understanding and relationship. There will also be an annual Hanban scholarship which will bring students to the Tianjin for the summer. The Institute appears to continue to run at the University.
