Description

In October 2010, China pledged to provide $229 million for post-flood reconstruction, the provision of rice processors, and the provision of the latest technology of cold storage. This was declared by the Pakistani Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira, during a press conference on Hu Jiantao's visit to Pakistan. The $229 million pledge package was signed alongside a promised $400 million loan pledge (#36984) and a $10 million grant (#54097). This project is also linked to a $250 million grant pledge in 2010, captured in #36939.
