Description

On 28 April 2011, Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Chairman of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), launched the idea of establishing an “Agriculture Demonstration Centre” in Pakistan for training of farmers, demonstration of technologies, and development of new hybrid crop varieties. This project was declared during a meeting with a 4 member high level delegation from China headed by Mr. Hu Yuahan, Director General of China's Foreign Cooperatives Committee for the Ministry of Agriculture at the PARC in April 2011. In addition to cooperation with China, Pakistan can learn an efficient system of agricultural research, increase agricultural production and productivity, and also facilitate access to China's vast market.
