Project narrative

On 20 April 2011, China, through the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Liu Jian, gifted ten computers, software and other accessories to the Government College University (GCU). The computers have been used by the university to established a high-tech computer laboratory for students at the GCU Postgraduate Library for online access of electronic journals, books and other digital material. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ikramul Haq inaugurated the laboratory, while Dean of Arts and Social Sciences Prof Dr Khalid Perviaz, Chief Librarian Abdul Waheed and heads of various departments were also present on this occasion.
