Full Description

Project narrative

On 27 May 2003, Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong and Afghan Vice President Nimartullah Shaharani signed an agreement, under which China would provide $1 million in cash to Afghanistan. The report published by China Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese media articles reported that the US$1 million was to support Afghanistan's national budget. The agreement was first signed together with #53537, in 2002 January, where 30 million Chinese Yuan aid package was delivered to Afghanistan.
