Description
In 2008, the China Development Bank expressed interest in investment projects in Brazil. Investments in these concessions, valid for 25 years operating on routes between the southeast with the northeast for a total of 7297 kilometers, would total more than $ 6.4 billion (R $ 10 billion). Proposal includes highway BR-040, which connects Brasília to Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. The status of these investments are unknown. Local company, Invepar, won the bid for the BR-040 highway concession. No indication that the highway projects moved towards implementation.
