Project narrative

In September 2011, China pledged to be a constructive force to the Pacific Island countries by supporting their development projects. At the 42nd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in Auckland, China promised to send $400,000 to fund the projects that they agreed upon, such as including building infrastructure, sending medical teams, training professionals, and debt forgiveness for the least developed island countries.
