Project narrative

China offered to train 'maritime personnel' from the Maldives in summer 2014 and also strengthen cooperation on marine research, fisheries, and other areas of maritime cooperation. This offer was made by Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Fukang on July 21, 2014 during an interview with Xinhua.
