According to Myanmar's Aid Information System, in 2013, China committed $30,000 on the feasibility study report for the 27th Southeast Asian Games to be held in Myanmar. It is unclear whether this feasibility study is related to the SEA Games Opening and Closing Ceremony Technical Cooperation Project (第27届东南亚运动会技术合作项目 in Chinese). The 2013 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 27th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event took place in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. Around 4730 athletes from 11 participating nations participated at the games, which featured 460 events in 34 sports. The project has a start date of 2014-09-09 and end date of 2014-09-10.
