A Chinese International Rescue and Medical Team were sent to Yogyakarta in response to an earthquake that struck Yogyakarta, measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, on May 27, 2006. Project narrative

A Chinese International Rescue and Medical Team were sent to Yogyakarta in response to an earthquake that struck Yogyakarta, measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, on May 27, 2006. The 43-person team, consisting of 19 doctors and nurses and several seismological experts, boarded a charter flight together with medical supplies, arriving in Bantul, Yogyakarta in the early morning of May 30, 2006. They also established a field hospital is located in SMA II Bantul.
