On December 2, 2014, Malaysia's Minister of Education Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin stated that China offered to train Mandarin and Mathematics teachers in Malaysian national schools. The agreement was made during his meeting with the Chinese Minister of Education Yuan Guiren.
