Description

In February 2008, China Eximbank pledged to provide an $83 million loan to the Government of Grenada for the development of a port and marina in St. Patrick. The plans for this project were approved by the Government of Grenada government. However, there is no evidence that this pledge materialized into an actual loan commitment. In the International Monetary Fund's publication on November 4, 2008 regarding Grenada's economic performance the loan was described as concessional, though there had not been a commitment yet.
