Description

In July 2008, Cambodia and China launched a set of twin stamps to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which fell on July 19, 2008. On July 21, 2008, the handover ceremony of stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia was held at the Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. The 200,000 sets of commemorative stamps, selling at 2,000 riels each (0.5 USD), were donated by the Chinese government to the Cambodian Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. Minister of Post and Telecommunications So Khun and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Zhang Jinfeng signed the transfer certificates during the launching ceremony.
