On 31 October, 2012 Chinese Ambassador to Laos donated an ambulance to a charity in Laos. The charity was set up in 1966, which caters to the poor Chinese in Laos and provides aid to the needy, elderly who are on their own, poor Chinese nationals, and other nationals who require assistance in the aftermath of an accident. The ambulance is equipped with an aluminium stretcher, oxygen generator, ultraviolet light disinfection and other specialized rescue equipment.
